New ACL surgery patient in this week. Here is his active ROM at day 7 post-op.
#acl #knee #surgery
Great movement into flexion already at 90 deg. 👏
He has 0 deg passive extension but only -5 active due to swelling in the joint and lack of full quads strength. So some work to do over the next 7 days to get 0 deg active extension at the 2 week mark. But hey it’s only day 7! 👍
This is his 2nd ACL recon (first on the left leg) and 4th overall knee surgery. Stay tuned for update at day 10 😄

Bro I’m 14 and after I had surgery I could not bend it far at all
Just so anyone who reads this comments knows. I had acl surgery and was a slow healer. Was no where near this at 7 days. I’m 6 years post acl now and all is fine. Don’t stress, don’t compare. You’re doing fine. Hare and the tortoise guys 🎉🎉
You’re typically not supposed to be bending that far after surgery
Enteresan. Yarın 3. Haftam olacak. Dizimi 180 derece bükebiliyorum. Ayrıca ağrı yok. Nasıl bu kadar hızlı esneklik kazandı bilemiyorum. İnşallah problem yoktur. Ayrıca değneksiz rahatlıkla yürüyorum. İstedikleri için süs gibi değnek taşıyorum.
I just had my surgery 1 week ago and am still in a lot of pain. I have 0 range of motion. I start PT tomorrow so hopefully that will help me.
Hello, here is my case:
It has been almost 4 weeks since I got a surgical suture for my patella (yep, my patella is stitched up because it broke into small pieces)
At this moment, I take 30 minute walks daily without any type of support and do bending and stretching exercises throughout the day
I can bend my knee 40 degrees actively and 85 degrees passively
My process seems pretty good and it is going to take me a lot of time, and the rehab process is painful af, but I keep going
So my fellas, don't be afraid of pain and physical therapists, they are going to be your best friends in this process!
I had to achieve bed side 90° bend on the 3rd day to get discharged 😂
I just had surgery on wed MCL, ACL and PCL wish me luck
I don't even get how this is possible! They gotta be loaded up on pain meds. I'm at a week and a half and can hardly bend it. I had acl reconstruction and a meniscus repair. I've made some progress but not very much
It’s 7 days post surgery for me (single hamstring tendon graft). I can’t even bend my knee 10% of what this guy is doing, this is due to the pain on the side of my thigh from where the tendon was harvested, every time I try to bend my knee I feel like I can but the excruciating pain in the side of my thigh is stopping me and it feels so weird. I have the exact same bandages/incision bandaid as this guy in the video does, exact same spots too. Any help much appreciated.
I am told to achieve 90 degree in 3 weeks. I think 1 week time is not advisable for everyone.
Doctor, can you please tell me I’m a football player and almost one year now I got hit by the opponent from the back of my right knee while falling off I heard some strange noise😢 now my leg isn’t swollen and no pain but popping something when warming up so the doctor recommended me to have surgery in order to not get worse in the future. Now I’m very worried and confused I need help pls 🙏
Please anyone tell , what is done in the thigh region ? There is hole sort of thing there.
5th day after surgery
That's impossible 😮
I'm a sports player my problem acl tear ( high grade partial thickness tear ) pls comment your genuine reply surgery is better for life or strengthening is better then surgery for sports players pls reply your comments
3. Day after acl reconstruction. Cant bend over 30 deegres and i im practicing 3-4 times a day… it seems like some people get it faster. Even tho im my whole life physicaly very fit..
Watched live ACL reconstruction surgery 2 days ago in the orthopaedic department. It was ACL reconstruction surgery with lateral meniscus repair. The graft used was Peroneus brevis.
I need to do a surgery because of an stupid thing happened and i teard it like 30%
Im training on my own because im recovering quickly (day 4 almost 90 degrees, no pain meds) but i dont have my follow up appointment for 10 more days.
