Calisthenics athletes are riddled with injuries and weak elbows are often the root cause. If we want to bulletproof our elbows we need to first establish what causes weakness in the elbow, and then strengthen them.

Decided to start doing 100 dips and 100 chin ups every other day. I had been working them a couple of times a week, just at lower volumes, for a couple of months beforehand. Figured i would be ok… NOPE… golfers elbow! I have had it in the past, just on the other arm, and it never really went away. Took several months off the first time, it still flares up on my right arm doing chin ups and barbell curls. Figured it was here to stay, so i can put it aside and work through it. Hasn't gotten worse. But ahhhh… now i have it in my left arm.

This is the video I’ve been looking for an needed! I now understand that my elbow pain is not a muscle issue, it’s a connective tissue issue and must be dealt with accordingly. Thank you!!

Taking a break is so very hard, but my right elbow has insisted it's time to focus on stretching and not on weight bearing

@bobmason5957 says:

Thanks for the tips !! Can I still hang and stretch the arms waiting to heal golfers elbow in both arms?

@alexandertye3244 says:

Do you have a video on how to recover from golfers elbow?

@calunio says:

I deal with golfer’s elbow for a long time and I’ve watched tons of videos, and this is the first one that actually felt helpful.

You just saved my elbows bro. Thank you!

@Elsinnombre-ez5dn says:

My biggest problem by far is training through injury and just hearing you advising to take a break could be my only option at this point.
