Cognitive Rehabilitation for TBI/Stroke victims
Presenter: Peter C Entwistle, PhD, Anne-Marie Kimbell, PhD, MSEd
Traumatic brain injury and stroke are leading causes of brain injury in the US. Rehabilitation after brain injuries is not only aimed at rehabilitation of physical deficits but is also focused on improving the resulting cognitive deficits. Cognitive rehabilitation includes a range of therapies focused on improving deficits in attention, memory, executive functioning, visual spatial processing, and visual field, and to enhancing functioning and quality of life in patients with deficits in those domains. This webinar will discuss the impact of deficits in the cognitive domains and the contribution of cognitive rehabilitation activities.
