Strength Training Circuit Workout for Women Over 40 (Metabolic π₯ Conditioning )
This total body strength training circuit workout for women over 40 is designed to help you build lean muscle, increase your overall strength, and burn fat.
Through a combination of functional movements and HIIT exercises, this workout will challenge your muscles while also providing a great cardio workout.
You'll work every major muscle group using bodyweight exercises and dumbbells to increase the intensity. This 20-minute routine is the perfect way to boost your metabolism and get in shape!

This workout is all levels and osteoporosis-friendly.
Tools: moderate dumbbells, chair/bench for beginners
6-minute EMOM
4-6 low to racked squat
4-6 push-ups (alt: off chair)
4-6 mountain climbers (alt: off chair)

Hello! I am 71 years old and have exercised since my 20's. i just finished your Fitness with PJ for women over 40. I was able to do all of the workout with relative ease. I know most people my age do not exercise but I love it…I am a member of a gym but the older I get the more uncomfortable I feel with all of the college kids and young moms. So just looking for advice on what workouts would be best for me or just alternate them to get a full body workout? Thanks for your advice!
Loved this workout. I finished yesterday… several days late but hey, I finished. I will blame it on several people getting Covid in my house and the holidays derailing me. I loved all the moves except the low to racked squat. I just could not get a groove with that move.
I was so bummed out that I was not able to finish this challenge because somehow I thew my back out. I will be back, though. Thank you, PJ, for these well designed workouts. I truly appreciate all the hard work that you put into putting all together.β€
