This Yoga for Shoulder Pain is a 10-minute sequence of shoulder pain relief exercises you can do at home – Shoulder stretches for pain, great for shoulder bursitis or other issues.

Use this 10 minute yoga for painful shoulders to manage and fix shoulder pain, working through shoulder mobility exercises at home as you follow along and practice 10 minutes of yoga a day. These stretches are accessible for all levels, including beginners, and can be done as often as you want. I truly hope this routine can help you feel better.

The pose just after 7 minutes where you start on your stomach and bend the arm at the elbow like cactus arm. I have a lot of problem with the bent elbow, it was painful and the upper arm was off the floor (even just lying on my front, I can't get the shoulder and upper arm on the floor). I can do that sort of a position with arm straight out (still painful but I can cope better). Should I do the straight arm, or keep trying with the bent?
I think that issue is to do with external rotation? (You mentioned that in a comment I made in another video.) Also if I lie flat on my back and raise my arms above my head, I can get my left arm & back of hand on the floor, but only the back of the right hand on the floor. The rest of my right arm is off the floor. The right shoulder is the one I have >20 years of inflammatory arthritis in.
I was wondering whether you could do a video on specifically improving the external rotation and whatever rotation the arms above the head is?
Thank you so much for your videos and replying. I've been doing yoga videos for a few years, but I've seen a big improvement in the months I've been doing yours.
