In this 15-minute yoga for sciatica and piriformis practice, we’ll gently stretch and open up the hips and lower back to relieve pain and tension. You don’t need any props for this yoga flow, but keeping a yoga block or a few pillows nearby is always an option for extra support.

Hi Joelle, I just found you the other day. I love your exercises for injuries, and add them to my yoga practices. I just would like to comment on one thing. When in pain I canยดt do lateral moves or anything to strengthen the area. I tried that in the last weeks and that has exacerbated my pain and tightness to an extreme. I canยดt even sit anymore. Would you recommend doing those exercises in pain-free times, or is it just me? I donยดt have anything fractured as I am aware. I was diagnosed with 2 prolapses, trochanteric bursitis (better), and sciatica. Although Iยดm sure itยดs the IT band/piriformis as well. Thank you so much for your videos. ๐Ÿ™‚
