You hit the nail on the head, when you sd., that if pain is occurring in the front of the thigh! My pain is on my right buttocks. The pain in FRONT of the thigh ONLY occurs when I try to raise it up! My chiropractor dx’d me with sciatica! If the pain is located in the buttocks and it hurts the FRONT of my thigh ONLY when I raise it? What do you suggest??
Had always wondered about this sciatica problem, always thought, "man people sure do complain a lot!" Then last week, ZANG!!, it clobbered me. Your video and others have kept me out of the ER, and away from the chiropractor. One other quick pain reliever is to take a really deep breath into the lower part of your lungs and hold for a few seconds, Doing this several times helped me quite a bit. And if there is one positive thing about enduring sciatica pain, you will have more compassion for your fellow human. For a while at least.

Hi Dr Kristie, I don’t have fleshy bum since young and the sharp butt bones that i sit on chairs/floors, anywhere, always hurt on most surfaces, and right after I will feel super achey from lower back to butt to thighs, and will have pain next few days. It can get so bad that it literally feels like someone chopped away my nerve on the back of my thigh, I need to take painkillers. I have to sit on a swimming float at home. Ive searched for alot of info but why no one talks about sitting issues that cause sciatica pain …. Also I will suffer in pain if I do any cobra back stretch or street just open my legs wider, seems like somewhere around my tail bone will be injured for up to a week… do you have any advise ?

Can I do Glute Bridge, Kegel, hip thrust, and jumping exercises with sciatica?

Thanks Dr. Ennis! So what would be the pain in the front thigh and shin bone area? I recently had pain in lower back and sciatica, but also in thigh and shin area as well after some leg lift exercises.

After laying in bed on my side with the pillow under my ankles for a half an hour, I felt 3 times worse when I got up. Thumbs down.

So my question is , in my pursuit for strong glutes , do I need to lay off glute work to keep from aggravating the sciatic nerve ? I def feel the pins/needle sensation in my right sits bones when seated in a 90/90 on the affected side ..I believe my anterior pelvic tilt is to blame for all the lower back pain . I wish my anatomy was not jacked !
